BzzAgent Neutrogena Cosmetics Review

I was one of the lucky ones to be selected for the Neutrogena Cosmetics BzzAgent Campaign. I found my kit in the mail on Sunday, when I got back from a little weekend getaway with my husband. As I've already mentioned before, I am a make up junky, so I definitely felt like a kid in the candy store when I saw this little package. I don't normally use drug-store make up, and all of these items were new for me.  I couldn't wait to see how they compare to the higher-end make up I normally wear.

The package was filled with some real goodies - Nourishing Eyeliner in Cosmic Black, Skin Brightening Eye Protector in Light and 3 Revitalizing Lip Balms! It also included a few coupons to be shared with friends and family!

The Nourishing Eyeliner is very comparable to a high-end eyeliner. It really does last all day. I especially like that it comes with a built-in sharpener (how many times were you not able to use an eyeliner because you couldn't find a sharpener?). I also like that it includes a little smudger sponge, so you can take your look from polished to smokey in no time. I will definitely try this product in a different color - that twilight blue shade looks awesome!!

The Healthy Skin Eye Protector is probably my favorite product from this package. It comes with a nice brush, which makes applying this product super easy. I apply my make up at 7 am in the morning, and don't get home until at least 6 pm, so I was very grateful that this product lasted all day and that I didn't need to keep reapplying it. My only complaint is that I chose Light shade, which is a little dark for me. I should have chosen the lightest color offered, which I believe was Fair.

I received the Revitilizing Lip Balm in three shades - Healthy Blush, Sunny Berry and Petal Glow. My favorite was the Petal Glow, which gave my lips a very nice, deep red shine. I normally don't wear lipsticks because it leaves my lips dry and it doesn't fade evenly. This product is the total opposite - it's very lightweight and it doesn't leave my lips dry and "dirty" as it fades. It also does a great job moisturizing. This product also promises to improve the look of my lips in just seven days. I will definitely wear it every day for the next seven days, and report back the results.

All in all, I really loved my BzzAgent Neutrogena kit. It provided everything I needed for a quick and polished make up look. I honestly do believe that the items I received and tried are very comparable to the higher-end make up items I am normally wearing every day. I don't know that I would have bought any Neutrogena make up prior to receiving this kit, but I am definitely a customer now! I cannot wait to spread the Bzz about these great products!

Disclaimer: I received product samples from BzzAgent. However, these are my honest opinions about the items above.

I am a BzzAgent, and I love it.

Just last month I joined BzzAgent, and I am already participating in two campaigns! As you already know, BzzAgent is the leading Word-Of-Mouth (WOM) website. They send you full-size products to try, and all they are asking in return is your honest opinion about them.

The first campaign I got invited to was for Children’s Claritin. I received a full bottle of Children’s Claritin Syrup and a bunch of $3 coupons to share with my friends and family. This product did not work for my son for various reasons, mainly because he is only 20 months. However, it worked wonders for me. Yes, for me!

For some reason, I hate medications of any kind. I especially hate any allergy medications because they make me feel drowsy and unable to function properly. If my allergies are so bad that I have to take medications, I usually have to stay home, can’t drive, etc. That’s why I rather just suffer through my allergies.

However, this weekend I woke up feeling miserable… my eyes were swollen and watery, my nose was like a faucet and I decided to take some allergy medications and go back to bed. Since I don’t regularly take medications, I didn’t have anything but a bottle of Children’s Claritin Syrup that I received from BzzAgent. I decided to give it a shot (my husband thought I was ridiculous), and I was pleasantly surprised. I did not feel drowsy at all and felt better almost immediately… I even spent the rest of that day outside with my family.

I do have to disclose that I am only 5 feet and 3 inches tall. I am not going to tell you how much I weigh, but I am not a big person. I am pretty sure that the Children’s Claritin works for me because of my size. I told many of my friends about this, and while some laughed, others asked for coupons!

The other campaign I got invited to is totally my cup of tea – I will get to try and tell you about Neutrogena Cosmetics! I am a total make up junkie and cannot wait to get my hands on my BzzAgent kit!

Awesome blog everyone should bookmark!

I was never much of a cook. That subject simply didn't interest me... until recently. Once my son started eating dinner with us, something changed. I do not want him to eat fast and processed food every day.. as a mother, I feel obligated to feed my family as healthy as possible. That's where my cooking adventures started. I still have a ton to learn, but at least I am at a point where cooking is no longer a chore.. it's fun!

So, lately, I've been looking for recipes online.. not only healthy dinner ideas, but also foods that make cooking fun... stuff I can put on the table and think "wow, I actually made this!" That's how I came across an awesome site - TIDE AND THYME.

If you haven't already, you should definitely check that site as soon as possible. This site is run by Laura, a stay at home mom to two boys. Her recipes are fun and really easy to follow. I plan to try several of them, but I cannot wait to try the Nutella Cheesecake Bars (see photo; it's actually from Laura's site). Doesn't it make your mouth water?

Slowly but surely getting rid of student loans...

I just made a $3,000 payment towards our student loans, and I couldn't be happier. I just love seeing that balance go down so fast. At the beginning of the year we became serious about paying off this loan in 2012, and so far we have paid as much as we could. The beginning balance at the beginning of January was $19,098.48 and today it's $9,598.

Our goal is to pay it off by the end of this Summer (by the end of September, to be exact). I think we can totally do this.. don't you?

BzzAgent

I kept hearing wonderful things about BzzAgent, and today I finally bit the bullet and signed up for it. If you are not familiar with this site and would like to find out what it is, you can go HERE, but basically it is the leading word-of-mouth marketing (WOM) company. Members of this site are “Agents”, who are invited to review various products and then share their honest opinions about it.

I did a quick Google search on BzzAgent to see what people think about this company, and all the reviews I found were positive. I came across this website – Rachel’s Writings and More – and this lady was chosen to review for 21 campaigns! She also gives a good overview of what kind of products agents are being asked to review, so make sure to check it out.

To improve your chances of being selected for campaigns, make sure to fill out all the surveys and bzz, bzz, bzz!! If you’re not signed up for this great, completely free program, do so today. And if you’re a long-time member, let me know what kind of campaigns you were chosen for!

Hello again....

It’s been a couple of months since my last post. I was debating to delete my blog, but for some reason I decided to continue my little blogging adventure. However, I decided no longer to only post about couponing. While saving money will remain the main focus of this blog, I decided that I have so much more to offer than that. Hopefully you’ll think so, too.

I don’t think that I’ve formally introduced myself, so here it goes… my name starts with a “J” and I am 30 years old. I have been married to my wonderful husband “R” for almost 5 years, and we have one young son “D”, who is 18 months old. I have lived in 5 countries and on two continents. I was born in a very small European country, but immigrated to the U.S. when I was 18 years old.

I will use this blog as my “outlet”, meaning that I will be writing about all things that come to mind, things that bother me, and things that make me happy. I hope you join me on my little journey and have some fun along the way!

Lysol Rebate = FAIL

So, my Lysol Rebate was returned to me a few days ago because my receipt did not specify that I was purchasing "LYSOL DUAL ACTION WIPES". It only said that I purchased "LYSOL DISINFECTING WIPES". Basically, this company is not going to honor the rebate because the merchant where I purchased the wipes (CVS) does not specifically state that I purchased "dual action" wipes (like I have any control over the description merchants use on their receipts). I even included the bar code from the bottle in my package, and that apparently was not good enough.

I gave them a call to let them know that the form I filled out should have stated this requirement. They did not really have an answer for me, or a suggestion what I could have done differently. They just did not want to process my rebate, it seems like.

Whatever. There's always Clorox! :)
